ABOUT THE AUTHOR Abhijit Dutta
Abhijit Dutta is a Reader of Zoology at the University of Ranchi and Serves as a faculty member of the Environmental Science and Biotechnology programmes. He received bachelors and masters degree in Zoology from Ranchi University. He later acquired a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the same university. He directs a laboratory of postgraduate students who work with him on toxicology and other environment related subjects. Presently seven research scholars are working under him, mainly on Cytotoxicity assay of several synthetic and biological toxins and their bioremediation. He has published several research papers and wrote many book chapters. He is the recipient of ZSI Gold Medal and is the life member of many professional bodies.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR P.N. Pandey
P.N. Pandey is a senior professor of the postgraduate department of Zoology at Ranchi University. He acquired his bachelors, masters and Ph.D. degrees from Ranchi University. He is a Member/Life Member/Member Board of Management of many scientific bodies. He has supervised more than sixty research papers and has written several book chapters. He is a devoted research worker and recipient of ZSI Gold Medal, Prativa Vikas Samman, and Indian Academy of Environmental Gold Medal.

Sunita Dutta is a Reader in Zoology at Women’s College Ranchi. She acquired her bachelors, masters and Ph.D. degrees from Ranchi University. Her research focuses mainly on the impact of human habitation on the ground water regime and other causative factors that alters its physiochemical quality. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in environmental science, molecular biology, Biotechnology. She has under her credit several published research papers and has written a few chapters in encironment related book.
