ABOUT THE AUTHOR Doug Stevenson
Doug Stevenson gave his first speech at 13 years of age in Boy Scouts. He became a professional actor in his hometown of Chicago at 19 and at 22, hitchhiked to Hollywood where he acted on stage in everything from Snoopy to Shakespeare and in movies, TV and commercials. During his 16 years as a character actor he developed his unique style of physical comedy. His expertise eventually led him to direct plays and teach acting. While in Hollywood, Doug owned a carpentry and remodeling business and a mobile disk jockey company. After 13 years of trying to become a rich and famous movie star, he did what many actors do when they fail to make it in Hollywood – he moved to Colorado Springs and became a real estate broker.
