ABOUT THE AUTHOR Boppana Nagarjuna
Bappana Nagarjuna M.A., M.Phil, Ph.D. in Economics from University of Hyderabad and, D.D.P. from Warsaw School of Economics, Warsaw, Poland. He is a lecturer at Department of Economics, University of Hyderabad, Central University (P.O.), Hyderabad 500 046, A.P. India. He Specializes in Industrial Economics, Transitional Economics and International Economics. He is the Founder General Secretary of Transitional Economics Association (TEA) India. He started his teaching career in January 1991 in Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, Rajasthan later served in Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University, New Delhi.. As an Assistant Professor worked in Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM), Hyderabad and also worked as a Reader in Economics at Sultan Ul-Uloom College of Business Administration, Osmania University, Hyderabad. He under took assignments with NCAER, Parisila Bhawan, New Delhi also associated with Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Bella Vista, Hyderabad. He has written two dozen articles in Indian journals in Economics, and presented papers and participated in many national and international Seminars and Conferences.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR D.L. Narayana
Prof. D.L. Narayana has been described as an outstanding economist, an eminent academician and a dedicated teacher. He was the first academician from Andhra Pradesh to have been elected as President of Indian Economic Association in 1984. He was the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of World Economic congress held at New Delhi in 1986. He is also the founder chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Association. Being one of the top most economists of the country, the Indian Economics Association has chosen to honour Prof. D.L. Narayana Rangarajan, Prof. Alak Ghosh, Prof. Amartya Sen and Prof. Kamta Prasad at the 82nd Annual School of Economics of guru Nanak University, Amritsar during the last week of December, 1999. Prof. D.L. Narayana, a self-made economist, served as Professor and Head of the Department of Economics at the Sri Venkateswara University from 1964 to 1989. More than 20 Scholars obtained their Ph.D. degrees under his able guidance. He also guided several M.Phil dissertations and 100 research papers in reputed economic journals. One of his students is Sri Chandrababu Naidu, the Ex-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
