The purpose of the present text is to introduce the student to the biology of bacteria, an understanding to which will assist in evaluating the prokaryotic biological principles found throughout the world of life. The present publication contain adequate material to acquaint the student with fundamentals but omit unessential details. It is a well-structured attempt to put in the teacher’s and student’s hands a comprehensive compendium on bacteriology.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Subrata Bhattacharjee
Subrata Bhattacharjee hold's Master's degree in Veterinary Science from the University of Nagpur and studied for his doctoral qualification in Zoology from the University of Delhi. His dissertation on animal Diseases and Quarantine Practices: Studies of Infected Specimen from South-East Asia was highly commended in academic circles. For over twelve years he has been associated with a research institute for parasite carriers and animal diseases.
