ABOUT THE AUTHOR P. Vidhyasekaran
P. Vidhyasekaran, Ph.D., FNA, is the former Director of the Center for Plant Protection Studies, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, India He is the author of eight books fro leading publishers in the United States and India. He has published more than 400 articles in 32 international journals as well as several book chapters. Dr. Vidhyasekaran has served on the editorial boards of several journals and has been elected President of the Indian Society of Plant Pathologists. He is a Fellow of he National Academy of Agricultural Sciences and several other scientific societies, and a member of the New York Academy of Sciences. Dr. Vidhyasekaran has won several national awards as well as the Tamil Nadu Best Scientist Awart. He has served as a visiting scientist in 14 countries, including the United States, Philippines, and Denmark. He is the author of Bacterial Disease Resistance in Plants: Molecular Biology and Biotechnological Applications (Haworth).
