The Present work examines extensively the concepts of violence and non-violence especially covering the past and the present scenario with various historical events and illustrations. It also provides an excellent commentary on Gandhi’s understanding and interpretation of non-violence, his approach and methods of application, its efficacy and practibility in the present context. Besides, this work has included an interaction with Gandhian scholars, prominent personalities and others to ascertain their opinions about the viability and efficacy of non-violence to counteract the ill-effects of violence all over the world.
