ABOUT THE AUTHOR Anil K. Rai 'Ankit'
Dr. Anil K.Rai ‘Ankit’ is the senior faculty member and Head of Mass Communication Department at VBS Purvanchal University, Jaunpur (UP) since 1998. Before joining to this University of Delhi. Dr. Rai has been engaged in media studies (at Post Graduate level) and research for more than 15 years. He worked with leading media organizations in different capacities and development more than two dozen documentary films on concurrent issues. Designed weekly, fortnightly magazines. Dr. Raihas written books like: Sanchar Kranti Aur Vishwa Jan Madhyam, Dynamics of Media, Samkaleen Kavita ke Tewar, Sanchar ke Saat Sopan etc. and research papers published in different journals of national repute in his credit. Dr. Rai organized around one and half dozen seminars and workshops on different topics of media and related areas, guiding students for doctoral degree in the field of media. He is associated with different learned bodies like: South Asia Mass Communication Programming and Research Centre (SAMPARC), NUJ (I) School of Journalism and Communication, Society for Applied Development and Research (SADAR) etc. Author has obtained his master degree and doctoral degree from Delhi University, Delhi.
