Genes, Genomes and Genomics, with chapters written by internationally renowned experts, provides an enormous reservoir if new information on the various theoretical and applied aspects of unraveling the secrets hidden in the genes of plants, animals and microorganisms. This volume has been at forefront of genes, genomes and results revolution, sharpening the understanding of life and producing effective results with wide range of application in food, agriculture, medicine and the environment. It has excellent reviews focusing mainly on plant, animal and microbial genes, genomes and genomics in general, and molecular evolution, gene mapping, FISH, microarray technology, autoimmunity, nutritional-, Anopheles-, pine functional genomics, and transgenics for multiple stress and insect resistance, in particular with a broad vision towards meeting the grand challenge in the post-genomic era. Each chapter contains and extensive list of references, color photographs and line drawings, if any. No other available title provides such an up-to-date and in-depth coverage, which is intended to serve as an indispensable reference work for academic and research students and scientists working in the applied areas of plant, animal an microbial sciences and closely related scientific disciplines.
