This book is an effort to reviewing trend of managerial problems in Indian organizations through a qualitative survey. The manuscript is based on narrative study of 275 male managers and 140 female managers interviewed in 17 organizations in order to review managerial issues: 1. Problems faced by male and female managers; 2. Ways in which problems affect male and female managers; 3. Coping strategies used by male and female managers to overcome their problems; and 4. Developing managerial perspective in Indian organizations. The book includes researchers between 1990-2005. This publication shall be useful to managers at all levels especially in Indian organizations, as it reveals an inner dialogue with managers. It present organization-wise analysis of managers narratives.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR H.L. Kaila

Dr. H.L.Kalia, presently Reader and Head, Postgraduate Department of Psychology, SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai. Dr. Kalia has over 20 years professional experience and has to his credit several projects with ICSSR, UGC and World Health Organisation; and has authored 12 books, 10 monographs, and a large number of articles for newspapers, magazines and journals. He has also appeared several times on television for providing his experts views. Recently Dr. Kalia represented India at the International Democratic Education Conference 2003 at Albany, New York.
