This book is an intensive study of the Indian reaction, particularly the reaction of the people of U.P., from 1898to 1911, to British policies. The author has taken six important policies—land revenue, education, press, plague preventive measures, partition of Bengal and separate electorates.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR V.K. Saxena
Dr. Vinod Kumar Saxena, is Lecturer in History in Selection grade at a Delhi University maintained college. He has authored the books “Indian Reaction to British Policies 1898-1911†(Delhi, 1978), and “Muslims and the Indian National Congress 1885-1924†(Delhi, 1985). Both the books have been well received by the academic circles and the Press. His style is simple, lucid and forceful. He combines in him clarity with compactness.
