Magahi Phonology: A Descriptive Study

This is an outstanding book on the phonology of Magahi, intended to provide a critical analysis of phonological structure of the language in terms of articulatory components, of auditory qualities and of acoustic properties as per the canon of modern linguistics, describing segmental and Supra-Segmental Phonemes at length, it discusses intonation character of the language with extensive analytical description including physiology and physics of Magahi along with their laboratory results and photographs. This is virtually the only elementary work that gives a complete account of all work that gives a complete account of all the significant phonological elements of a sub-language of the wider range of Hindi speaking region. The entire analysis consists of three sections and nine chapters. All the findings and results have been categorized in nine tables to visualize the full spectrum of Magahi Phonology at a glance.
