ABOUT THE AUTHOR Tom Markert

Tom Markert has recently returned to the United States to take up the position of Global Chief Marketing and Clinet Service Officer for information giant ACNielsen. Prior to this he was Group Chief Executive of ACNielsen Australia and New Zealand, and President of ACNielsen Canada. His previous work history includes management positions with Procter and Gamble and financial services juggernaut Citicorp. Tom Markert is a co-owner and former member of the board of directors of the Sydney Kings, a professional team in Australia's National basketball League. While in Australia, Tom Markert also served as the Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce, and was a member of its board of directors for several years. He is currently a member of the Young Presidents Organization. Tom Markert lives in New Canaan Connecticut with his wife Sarah and their four children: Zach, Abby, Nate and Rebecca.
