A Critical Study of Ideology of Shakespearean Tragedies

This work is intended to study the ideological significance of tragic hero in Shakespeare. Detailed analysis of Hamlet, Macbeth, King Lear and Othello have been chosen wherein the ideological significance and its implications have deeply rooted and involved. The ideological significance of hero in Hamlet, Macbeth, Othello and King Lear is thought provoking and keeps a distinct identity in the dramatic world. Each hero of Shakespeare is a symbolic phenomenon of ideology. The clashing ideological clashes of heroes of Shakespeare is a matter of high significance and ever remembering from generation to generation. The purpose of this work is therefore to evaluate ideological significance and importance and its effort to society which undoubtedly stimulates intellectual and academic debate in English literature.
