The present work aims at discussing the nature of causality from the viewpoint of Indian philosophy on the basis of original texts. It mainly deals with the cause-effect relation as advocated and defended by the Nyaya-Vaisesika and in order to give a comparative idea I have also discussed the Samkhya, Mimamsa, Vedanta and Bauddha views in this regard.
