ABOUT THE AUTHOR T. Swarupa Rani

Dr. (Mrs.) T. Swarupa Rani is a teacher educator with sixteen years of teaching experience in St. Joseph’s –a reputed college of education for women in Guntur, A.P. She is a popular and approachable teacher, liked by her students. She has an M.Sc. degree in Applied mathematics from Andhra University, B.Ed., M.Ed., and M.Phil., degrees from Acharya Nagarjuna University with distinction. She acquired Ph.D., from the same university with her thesis on Problem Solving in Mathematics in Secondary Schools. She has a strong commitment to the teaching of mathematics and developing problem solving abilities which she has been systematically experimenting with her B.Ed., and M.Ed., students all these years. She is also actively guiding research scholars and evaluating research dissertations from different universities like Madurai Kamraj University, Annamalai University and Mother Theresa Women’s University in their work.
