The two volumes on A Journey to Swaraj deal with significant political events during the non-violent anti-Raj movement. The people involved were millions in number. Indeed their sincere participation was geared up by the continuous sacrifices with one aim, viz., the achievement of their political goal. They had to deal with the difficult situation with disciplines and sincerity. These two volumes have deep bearing on the political developments during the time of Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Annie Besant, Mahatma Gandhi and others.. They led the non-violent movement for a number of years and the ideology which they professed dealt with several significant phases of the long drawn political struggle.
