Libraries are the repositories of knowledge and form an integral part of education. Libraries in the educational institutions are concerned with the teaching and learning process, experienced by specific communities, teachers, students and faculty members. Academic libraries are considered to be the nerve centers of academic institutions, and must support teaching, research, and other academic programmes.
