ABOUT THE AUTHOR Jagannath Pati

Jagannath Pati is Deputy Director, Central Adoption Resource Agency, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, government of India. He did his M.A. in social work from the Institute of Social Sciences, Agra University, Agra (now Dr. Ambedkar University) and his Ph.D. from Ranchi University. He also has degrees in Law and Journalism. Dr. Pati has published over 50 research papers in national and international journals of repute and presented over 25 papers at different seminars and workshops in India and abroad. He has edited a seminar volume entitled Women in Agriculture. Also, Dr. Pati has produced several programmes for All India Radio, in addition to completing a project on ‘Stories of Tribal Women Involved in Local Brewing’, sponsored by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, government of India.
