The present book attributes twenty publications made by 30 students of invertebrate taxonomy and biodiversity. Most of them are the authorities and have the expertise on their group for more than two or three decades. Their contributions on taxa for this country or a part of it, or including neighbouring countries have occupied a respectable place in this book. The publications presented in this volume can be listed as Diversity of Orthoptera in India1 by Kailash Chandra, et al., of ZSI, Jabalpur. It contains the Indian record of 1033 species/subspecies belonging to 398 genera. Diversity of higher categories of fruit flies Diptera: Tephritidae) and their host associations by M: L. Agarwal of RAU, Pusa (Samastipur) includes description of its 4 subfamilies and 18 tribes. A synoptic list of freeliving and parasitic Protozoa from Maharashtra has been presented by L. Bindu and N.C. Nandi of ZSI, Kolkata. The work includes 52 freeliving and 484 species of parasitic protozoa recorded from Maharashtra. Diversity in anterior feeding apparatuses in rhabditid nematodes is presented by P. Bohra and R. Sultan of ZSI, Jodhpur. A checklist of insect parasitic nematodes of India1 has been made by V.V. Gantait and A. Chatterjee of ZSI, Kolkata. A total of 72 species under 2 subgenera, 27 genera have been presented in this work. R.K. Gupta, et al., of JNVU, Jodhpur have contributed on the Diversity of Halictidae bees in Rajasthan and Diversity of Apidae bees in Rajasthan. R. K. Gupta and S.K. Charan have made a first time contribution on Apoidean visitors of Capparis decidua in arid north west India. They have given the data concerning 64 species incoming 20 genera of bees recorded on this crop from the referred area.

It details Whiteflies (Aleyrodidae, Hemiptera) of India. The work includes 381 species grouped under 55 genera of the family those are found in India and neighbouring countries. Nine species are new record and the monographic work includes all level identification keys and host records.

Almost all presentations in this book are supported with descriptions with biological characters, detailed figures and, different level identification keys. The book will be of immense use to all the scientists and students of invertebrates of the World.
