The book presents the current state of knowledge and recent development in selected topics of Agricultural Biotechnology. In this volume the research papers presented during the National Conference on ‘Recent Trend in Biotechnology’ held at Alleppey, Kerala during March 25-27, 2000 are included under five sections: Crop Production, Biological Control, Biofertilizers, Sericulture and Aquaculture. ABOUT THE AUTHOR V.S. Harikumar
V.S. Harikumar is Reader at the Department of Post Graduate Studies & Research in Botany, Sanatana Dharma College (University of Kerala), Alleppey, Kerala, India. He received his Ph.D. in 1998 from the University of Kerala for the research work carried out at Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (ICAR), Trivandrum, Kerala in the field of Agricultural Microbiology. The editor has more than a decade of Post Graduate teaching and research experience and has a good number of publications in refereed journals. He is in the editorial board of various journals and member of various academic and professional bodies. He also guides students for doctoral programme in the field of Botany and Biotechnology.
