ABOUT THE AUTHOR Jagmohan Meher

Dr. Jagmohan Meher, a former Fulbright Fellow in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, teaches Political Science and International Relations at National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla, Pune, India. He has been associated with the Program in Arms Control, Disarmament, and International Security, at the UIUC. Presently, Dr. Meher holds research associateship of the prestigious Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla. He has traveled widely both in Indian and abroad, including the United States, France, and Germany in various research capacities. He is a frequent visitor to University Grants Commision Academic Staff Colleges and Universities to deliver lectures on different aspects of International Relations and American Foreign Policy. He was associated with the Centre for Arms Control, Disarmament and International Security (ACDAS) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Ford Foundation.
