ABOUT THE AUTHOR R.S. Dube

R.S. Dube is a Professor of Geography at Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya (Formerly University of Saugar), Sagar, India. Born on 28th April 1941, he graduated from the T.R.S. College, Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, India securing a high first class. He stood first class first in his Master's degree examination of the University of Saugar in 1963. His research work on the Population of Rewa Plateau earned him in 1974 the degree of Ph.D. of the niversity of Saugar. His meritorious career and outstanding contributions have brought him several laurels. He had the previlege of working with such eminent geographers of international repute as Professor S.M. Ali in the University of Saugar, India, and Professor R.M. Prothero in the Liverpool University, U.K. Dr. Dube has been engaged in teaching and guiding research for more than two decades. He is a Member of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population, Liege, Belgium. His major interests are in the field of Agricultural geography, Population Geography, and Geomorphology. He has produced quite a large number of books, research articles and doctoral theses in these areas.
