This book tries to examine the different dimensional life and personality of Amir Khusrau. Carrying perception that Khusrau emerged as a versatile personality due to the blessings of his Guru Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, it describes in detail his love for Hindustan and his contribution towards the development of Hindawi language and Hindustani music, intermingling Persian and Hindustani Classical Ragas and instruments.
Taking a close look at social, cultural and spiritual background of Amir Khusrau, it also discusses at length the political, social and economic conditions of the 13th century India. Khusrau’s relevance in the 21st century has been explored as well.
