Principles of legal system of Hindus, Muslims, Chinese, Jewish, Roman along with the basic principles of English Law as well as of various countries and tribes of Africa have been compiled. Their original work has been collected so that the reader may know that system correctly. The book has been divided in two parts and nine chapters. Part 1 consists seven chapters and part 2 consists 2 chapters. Each legal system has been allotted one chapter.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Gokulesh Sharma
Dr. Gokulesh Sharma (b. 1956) was called to the bar in 1979; practiced as a trial court and appellate court lawyer in both criminal and civil sides. He joined Uttar Pradesh Judicial Services in 1984; so far decided about 38,000 criminal cases in eighteen year of service, a record in itself. Dr. Sharma is recipient of medals at Agra University, Agra, for the best student of LLB and LLM having stood first. He was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy by the Faculty of Law (on Constitutional Topic), Agra University, Agra in the year 1991. He is doing, present, Dr. Litt. Work in the same faculty. Dr. Sharma had contributed many articles in journals and newspapers and has actively taken part in various conferences and seminars held on legal issues and problems. His another book ‘Indianization of Duties’, has just been published by Manas Publications.
