ABOUT THE AUTHOR Phukan Basumatary

Phukan Basumatary (b.1967), is Sr. Lecturer in Boro at Rangia College, Assam. He has an immense interest in tribal folklore and Tibeto Burman language studies. He has participated in many national and state level seminars and workshops with thought provoking papers on the concerned subject. A few of the papers and articles have already been published in research journals, books and national level periodicals. His publications include Boro Morphology (in Boro), Structure of Language and Literature (in Boro), two poetry books (in Boro) and one translation. Some of his articles have also been translated into Assamese, Bangla, Hindi and English languages. He is also actively involved in different research projects.
