The Application of Anthropology in the field of human welfare is too vast.  But, it is felt from long back that policy-makers/planners/administrators and people in general are not aware regarding the potential of anthropology and its applications in human welfare. Thus a modest attempt has been made through this book to fulfil the objective.  This book is based on the proceedings of a national seminar entitled ‘Role of Anthropology in Human Welfare’.  It contains fourteen papers.  The contents of the papers directly or indirectly are useful for the betterment or upliftment of human life.  In view of its dynamic nature, the book, which is first of its kind, would be of immense help and useful to general readers, academicians, social workers sociologists and Anthropologists.
