ABOUT THE AUTHOR Malik Khuda Bakhsh Awan
The author is an old Ravian and foraminate also who has completed his post graduation in English literature from F.C College Lahore and joined Police service of Pakistan through CSS Examination held in the year 1982. In the capacity of ASP he has served in Frontier constabulary Hangu district Kohat and as ASP/ Sadar Mianwali and ASP/Chichawatni. In the year 1988 he was elevated to the rank of SP and served as SP/City Faislabad, SP/Kasur and AIG/Discipline, as a Staff Officer to the IGP. The officer was promoted to the rank of SSP in BS-19 in the year 1999 and posted as SSP/Bahawalnagar and later on served as Director Anti-Corruption for the Province of NWFP. On repatriation from NWFP in the year 2002 the officer served for almost a year in the Provincial Government). Presently he is posted as SSP/DPO, Sahiwal since November, 2003. Since his academic years, the officer is keeping a continuous yearning for learning and knowledge and has attended various professional courses; Anti-Terrorist Course, VVIP Protection Course, Personnel Management Course, Human Resources Development Course, Human Resources Development Course, Organizational Development Course, Critical Incident Management Course, ISO-9000, Human Rights and Observations, Audit Paras, Appearance Before Public Acctts. Committee Course. The officer has also kept his interest alive in reading and writing and recording books wherever he served. The semi classified analytical small books published are; Analysis of Crime against Women, Operation Moon-7, Separation of Prosecution from Police and its Return, Separation of Judiciary from Executive, Analysis of Crime against Women in Kasur, Private Security Agencies and Workable Anti corruption Strategies. The present book also relates to his professional experience in the capacity of Director Anti Corruption where he was the incharge Anti Corruption Department in the Province of NWFP, Peshawar. The officer has tried to correlate his indigenous experience with the International perspective and strategies at the International level and also given futuristic plan of strategies to counter and combat corruption in Pakistan. As the book is a first attempt on the subject, I hope it will be a very good reading for those who are posted in the Anti-Corruption Department and for the menace of corruption from the Country.
