The present book deals with some of the more serious behaviour problems coming under the category of psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Vimala Veeraraghavan

Professor Dr. Vimala Veeraraghavan is presently Director General of Amity Institute of Behavioural Health and Allied Sciences, amity University, Noida. She is a trained certified clinical psychologist practitioner who has been a professor and Head of Departments of Psychology and Applied Psychology, Delhi University. She has written books in the field of mental health and social sciences and has 14 books to her credit. Her books on Suicides and Attempted suicides, Treatment of Anxiety Disorders and Teenage Blues are amongst the very well received books at professional and layman audience. She has attended national and international conferences both within India and other countries such as the USA, UK, Norway, Malaysia, Pakistan, Thailand, etc. She has been a visiting professor to Thammassat University, Bangkok Thailand. She was the recipient of Teacher fellowship of the Indian Council of Social Science Research and more recently was awarded the National Fellowship of the Indian Council of Philosophical Research. She has served as President of Behavioural Medicine Society of India and is a Life Fellow of the same. She has served as Editor-in-chief of Behaviour Medicine Journal and is on the editorial board of many national journals. She established the Amity Institute of Behavioural Health and Allied Sciences which conducts graduate and post graduate courses in psychology and forensic sciences.
