On the basis of richness of biological diversity, India is declared as one of the sixteen mega diversity countries of the world. The richness of biodiversity in India is largely due to geographical position and the fact that it possess all possible kinds of ecosystems namely mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes, oceans and islands. Indian flora and fauna is very significant as far as their uniqueness are concerned. The tourism today has acquired wide social and economic dimensions in India and has turned into a paradise and Biogeographic zone.
