Bangladesh is a country full of natural resources. The country is gifted with plentiful of fauna due to its geographical location. Birds are one of them. According to International Union for Conservation of Nature, some 628 species of birds live in this country. The bird population – some are melodious singers, some are not – are playing important role in creating lively environment for people of the country and also assisting in ecological balance. Birds are necessary for our life and for a friendly and livable environment. If we can ensure undisturbed habitat, the birds will get chance for reproduction and will be able to survive the global climate change, food and other crises. The publication of the album "Birds of Bangladesh" is a reflection of the initiative by Singer for saving birds. Some 100 birds selected from hundreds of indigenous species are accommodated in this album.
