ABOUT THE AUTHOR Rishad Naoroji

Rishad Naoroji is an independent researcher specialising in raptor conservation,and he is regarded as one of India`s foremost experts on these birds. A prolific author, his research has included studies of Laggar and Red-headed Falcon population dynamics in Saurashtra, the breeding ecology of Pallas`s Fish eagles in Bharatpur,and the effects of pesticides use on breeding success of the Lesser Fish-eagles of Corbett National Park,while his conversation work in the Rajpipla forest les to the establishment of the Schoolpaneshwar Wildlife Santuary.Rishad is currently at the forefront of the fight to save India`s vultures, in his role as project coordinator for the Parsi Vulture Project.He is also an acoomplished wildlife photographer,and many of the stunning shots in this volume were taken by him.
