ABOUT THE AUTHOR R.N. Salve

Dr. R.N. Salve, (M.A., M.Phil.,( is a Professor of Sociology, Shivaji university, Kolhapur. He has twenty-Six year of teaching experience at Graduate and Post-Graduate levels. With twenty years of research experience, he is also research guide to M.Phil. and Ph.D. Scholars. He has presented papers in various National and International Conferences and Seminars. He has visited Greece. He has specialization in the areas of sociology of Rural/Urban studies, Sociology of poverty, public Sociology, Welfare and Social Policy. Being an active academician he is life member of various academic bodies of national and international levels. He is not only an academician but also a social activist who has actively played various roles such as Founder president of Lok Shikshan Sanstha, Aurangabad. Secretary, Dr. Badasaheb Ambedkar marathwada university teacher’s Association, Aurangabad; President of Backward Classes teacher’s Association; Vic-president of Dalit Sahitya Academy, Calcutta. And president, Maraharashtra Underprivileged teacher’s Association (MUPTA). To his credit, there are a number of research articles and books.
