The book gives a deep insight into the life and mission of Chakravarti Rajagopalachari, the emperor among patriots. Known for his incisive wit and wisdom Rajaji, as he was better known, was a prolific writer in English and Tamil. His widely-read Ramayana and Mahabharata are standing testimonies to his mastery over philosophy and story-telling skill.  Hailed as conscience-keeper of Mahatma Gandhi, he brought luster to every office he occupied including that of Governor-General of India-the only Indian to hold it. He was also the first recipient of Bharat Ratna Award.
