Raghavan served as Dean (Academic) and Professor and Head, Department of Information Science, University of Madras, Chennai before joining the Documentation Research and Training Centre, Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore as Professor. His areas of interest include Knowledge Organization and Semantic Relations.

Dr. Sanjeevi AMBA (S. AMBA) has more than 25 years of experiece in library and information work. she is an associate of the Documentation, Research and Training Centre, Bangalore and has obtained the Ed. S. (Librarianship) and the Ph.D. degree from the University Alabama, USA. Dr. Amba is the recipient of the faculty Scholar Award of the School of Library and Information Science, university of Albama. Her research interests include information retrieval, applications of computer in library and information science activities, patent, information and management of special libraries and information centres. Dr. Amba has more than 30 papers in national and international periodicals and seminars and conferences and has served as a resource person in workshops on CDS/ISIS. Dr. Amba is presently an Assistant Director, Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai.
