Ensuring gender parity has become a great challenge for the modern world. In the recent decade a surge of feminism has been observed world wide. Is it antagonised to the social order or is just a reflection of humanism, dignity and liberation?
To answer this question an international seminar on `Challenging Patriarchy: A Humanist Perspective’ was jointly organised by the departments of Political Science and History, Patna Women’s College, Patna University. The seminar was organised in collaboration with Gender Resource Centre, Women Development Corporation, Department of Social Welfare, GoB, Patna and Centre for Gender Studies, Patna from 26th to 28th October, 2016.
This book comprises of 25 selected research papers presented in the seminar. Chapters are both in English and Hindi on visible patriarchy, growing challenges, contrasting dialogue and changing behavioural patterns.
