Chronologies of all kinds are faster and valuable from utilitarian point of view. For researchers and students they are quick reference guides to timeline of events. Chronological References book Politics is important for the students of the politics as well as literature, when they want to refer to the origins of English language and race, or the politics, and whatever elementary literature then existed. A separate chapter on Anglo-Saxon Literature has been annexed to the chronicler for a detailed understanding, while the focus of the main text remains on describing events and the timeline. At present there are nine known versions or fragments of the “Anglo-Saxon Chronicle” in existence, all the which vary (Sometimes greatly) in content and quality. The translation that follows is not a translation of any one Chronicle; rather, it is a collation of readings from many different version. This edition contains primarily the translation of Rev. James Ingram, as published in 19th century. But also there is world of caution too: while the footnotes of Rev. Ingram have been included in this edition, please note that they should be used with extreme care.
