The author has analysed, evaluated and discussed all aspects of his novels-Untouchable, Coolie, Two Leaves and a Bud, The Village Triology and The Big Heart. The book discovers not only class conflicts but equality, human tenderness and religious tolerance in Anand’s novels.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Upendra Prasad Singh
Dr. Upendra Prasad Singh (b. 1943) is a brilliant product of the University of Bihar, Muzaffarpur. Dr. Singh having throughout a first class career is a recipient of gold medal in M.A. (Economics). Dr. Singh started his teaching career in 1967 and since then he is teaching Post-graduate students of Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya. Planning and Growth are the areas of his specialization. Dr. Singh’s research interests center around agricultural development, planning and poverty alleviation; A member of several academic organizations, Dr. Singh has contributed several research papers to the Learned Journals and has successfully supervised a number of students for their Ph.D. degree. Dr. Singh is presently Reader and Head of the Post-Graduate Deptt. Of Economics, Gaya College, Gaya (Bihar) and is having the credit of organizing, Post-graduate teaching in his subject.
