At present although so many books are available on this topic but none which can explain the practical aspects of the subject. Maximum number of diagrams have been utilized to make it understandable. Sufficient space is provided to write observations, results and to paste samples. Although this book is according to syllabus of B.A. and B. Sc. (Home Science), but it can also be useful to those who have interest in the subject.

Swati Bhargave completed her M.Sc. in Clothing and Textiles in 1998 from college of Home Science, Udaipur (Raj.) and also cleared NET in the same year. Her area of interest are textiles and fashion designing. At present working in Fashion Designing Institute, Ahmadabad. She has sent so many articles in various Hindi and English magazines.
