ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ashok Kumar Sonker
The author Dr. A.K. Sonker, born in the holy city Varanasi in 1962. He has obtained Graduation (B.A.M.S.) degree from state Ayurvedic College and Hospital-Lucknow in 1989. He received Post-Graduation M.D. (Ay.) and Ph.D. degree in Ayurveda under the able supervision of Prof. G.P. Dubey, ex-prof. & head, Department of Basic Principles, Faculty of ayurveda, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in 1995 and 2002 respectively. He has started teaching career in 1996 as Senior Resident in the Kriya Sharira Unit, Department of Basic Principles, Faculty of Ayurveda, Institute of Medical Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He is lecturer (Tridosh Vigyan) in Kriya Sharira Unit, Department of Basic Principles, Faculty of Ayurveda, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi since 1997. He has participated & presented Research papers in different seminar & symposia. He has also published scientific papers in National and International Journals. He is associated with several committees at B.H.U. level. He is examiner & member Board of Studies of so many academic institutions.
