This book is divided into seven chapter heads.  The first chapter entitled "Global Terrorism: Collapse of Geo-political Equations" is a general narrative on terror which shows its universal sweep and comprehensive coverage all over the world.  The second chapter "Ethno-Religious Terrorism in India" shows a mix of religion and ethnicity in the north-eastern states of India called the seven sisters viz.  Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura where religion fuses into ethnicity to create an area-specific militance bordering on secessionism.  The third chapter "Kripan (Dagger) Let Loose: Anatomy of Sikh Terrorism" deals with Sikh militance in Punjab and Chapter four entitled "Crescent Terror: A Balance-Sheet" revolves around acts of Islamist Terror.  The fifth Chapter entitled “Christianity, Holy Crusades and the Terror of Cross" depicts the atrocities committed by Christian terrorists.  The sixth chapter entitled "Naxalite Terror: A Non-Trident Hindu Variatn" deals with acts of terror committed by Naxalite terrorists, who are atheists by ideology but accidentally Hindus by birth.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Bhawani Singh

Dr. Bhawani Singh has retired as Professor and Head of the Department of Political Science, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.  The works of Prof. Bhawani Singh are (1) Council of States in India (2) Politics of Alienation in Assam (3) Indian Politics-Ideology and Ecology (4) Indian Government-Structure and Institutionalization (5) Governor: Role Identification and Sarkaria Commission (6) New Horizons of Indian Political System (Hindi), in addition to editing the following books (1) Politics, Change and Modernity in Indian States (2) International Politics: New Horizons (3) Election, Politics and Voting Behaviour (4) Regionalism and Politics of Separatism in India.  Besides this he has completed two UGC Project viz. (1) Politics of Alienation in North East States and Nation Building in India (1947-1999) and (2) Politics of Secessionism in India.  He is still active and working on more books.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Vibhuti Singh Shekhawat

Dr. Vibhuti Singh Shekhawat did his B.A. Honours, M.A. and M. Phil from Rajasthan University, Jaipur.  He did his M.B.A. from IGNOU, New Delhi.  Even as a student, he had the distinction of contributing articles in recognized scholarly journals and as of now he was written about a dozen articles, authored four books viz. (1) The Supreme Court and Judicial Independence. (2) Assam: From Accord to ULFa and (3) Politics of Sub-Nationalism and Separatism in India’s North East (An edited Volume).  He is a member of Indian Political Science Association and has submitted papers in several conferences and seminars.  Currently he is serving as a Reader and Head of humanities and Social Sciences Department in Malviya National Institute of Technology (Deemed University), Jaipur.  He is widely traveled and has lectured at several academic institutions in India.
