Some streams of eastern philosophical thought propose that everything in the universe is connected, forming the web of the universe – a connectedness that does not destroy the individuality of a being. Confluence, an anthology of poems, is a perfect example of this connectedness. It is a coming together of many minds and flowing together as one mind like tributaries meeting together and flowing as one river. Each poem has been composed by many poets chipping in one after another, after reading what has been written. The compositions are strung around a theme that holds the poem together ad yet retains the individuality of each poet and expresses diverse thoughts without distortion. The editors have done the wonderful job of keeping the flow. This is indeed a novel attempt made possible by technology.
