This book examines in detail the recent trends in Indian poetry in English. The author fills a long felt-gap which required a critical study on the subject. The present study extends to several recent poets and probes their dynamism and creativity besides their dealing with various social issues. Five Indian poets – R.K. Singh, I.K. Sharma, D. H. Kabadi, Gopal Honnalgere and I.H. Rizvi–form the nucleus of "Contemporary Indian English Poetry". This covers their lyricism, symbolism, imagism, parallelism, romanticism, and rhythnic pattern that makes the book the carrier of poetic beauty that transcends the limit of self in their poetry.
