ABOUT THE AUTHOR Dilli Raj Khanal

Dr. Dilli Raj Khanal, former member of the legislative parliament and National Planning Commission, is a noted political economist of Nepal. After PhD in economics in 1986, he is associated with research, teaching and social works. He is the founder Chairman of the Institute for Policy Research and Development (IPRAD) as well as Institute for Department policy Research (IDPR). He also the member of the global LINK expert group under UN system since 1996. He has already published several books to his credit individually and jointly. His writings in recent years are more analytical in nature grounded on political economy approach and hence focus on atternatives to the contemporary dominant economic regime aggravating social and economic crisis in both capitalist and developing countries.
