This work is an advancement in the knowledge of the Bundela history and an attempt to fills a gap in the regional history by bringing out the contemporary sources to the knowledge of those who are involved in the research. These sources gives information from the regional point of view, which generally is not in the knowledge of the researchers due to lack of regional sources of information. This volume is deals with the Panna Records (1688-1740) contains the letters exchanged between the members of the family of Chhatrasal Bundela, his officers and the Peshwa Bajirao. This record is such an important one that confirmed the information contained in the archival records in the Jaipur State Archives namely the Akbarat-i-Mualla, Waqia Papers, Hindi and Persian letters etc. The Panna Records (1688-1740) are valuable both for socio-economic and political history of the period and region. The letters gives authentic and important information about the relations of Chhatrasal with the later Mughals, his administration and policy towards the other Bundela State.
