The growth of the electronics industry has been phenomenal worldwide since the 1970s and its future in India seems to be brighter in China and India where an explosive growth in this industry. One reason for this phenomenal growth is that the prices keep dropping and new developments keep taking place. Electronics companies spend a lot of resources on R&D to develop new products, which leaves them with little time for manufacturing. This gave birth to the electronic manufacturing services industry or contract manufacturers. Against this background, this book attempts to explore the various aspects of electronic industry.
