Terrorism is basically a result of politico-socio-economic and administrative malaise and the state should take all necessary measures to solve socio-economic problems, besides military action against terrorism. The effective and constructive role of UN is of great need. India is a founder member of NAML should come forward to formulate some action plan and implement it to curb this menace. A close co-operation among international community is sine0quo-non to root out terrorism. Today, there is a great need of reviving Gandhian spirit to secure peace and harmony in the world. The book gives us some possible answers to what is terrorism? Who are the terrorists or revolutionaries? And affect of terrorists activities on the world community. It takes a hard look on the areas subjected to terrorism, and concludes with an assessment of what has and can be done to tackle this menace.

Dr. Anupam Tyagi M.D., was formerly doctor in department of Internal medicine, All India institute of medical sciences and in department of respiratory Medicine and Critical Care, safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. Presently he is working as medical superintendent in Sant Onkar Singh memorial Hospital, Nawan Shahr. The author is a man of multifarious interests and a prolific writer with multifaceted qualities. He is also associated with 'Ashray', 'Samarpan' and other organizations for the development, uplift and healthcare of street and working children. He has written extensively on indo-Pak relations, Kashmir issue and terrorism for various National newspapers and journals. He has penned down several books on similar issues.
