The findings of his study may be helpful to the investor and other analysts to find out which ratios should be analyzed to assess the excellence of the company. The study may also help the companies to judge their own performance in the light of the findings of this study.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Manu Agarwal

Dr. Manu Agarwal (b. 4th August, 1956-d. 24th July, 2004). He was an introvert, soft spoken person with ever smiling face. A silver medallist in National Talent Search Contest in Mathematics, he was an merging personality in the field of Corporate management. After completing his secondary education from Colvin College, Lucknow, he completed his MMS (Master of Management Science) in 1999 from Lucknow University. He cleared NET (National Eligibility test) from UGC and got doctorate (PH.D) degree from Lucknow University in 2003. Worked as Trainee Academic Associate at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad; he also acted as a Consultant in Research Project of University Grants Commission. HE was associated as faculty member with Jaipuria Institute of Management, Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology and Management, Sherwood College of Management and Lucknow University. He also spent few months as Assistant Professor at Moti Lal Rastogi School of Management, Lucknow. In his short career, his papers not less than half a dozen, were published in various reputed journals including insurance Dynamics, and ICFAI press. He wrote three books covering various fields of Corporate Management and Indian Financial System.
