The concept of corporate governance is very much popular in the current economic scenerio. It covers the magnitude of relationship among owners, directors and managers. Half a century after the enforcement of the Companies Act, a decade after liberalization, after a long period of a bearish trend at the stock market, now much to our relief, when the public has started responding favourably to the public issues of corporations, it is very appropriate to review the practices of corporate governance. The authors academic achievements are to include M. Com, M. Phil, MBA (Finance), and Ph.D. she is working as a permanent lecturer in commerce faculty in Jasani Arts and Commerce College, Rajkot. She has 12 years of teaching experience in the college education to her credit. She is actively involved in research activities and has presented more than a dozen research based papers at national and international seminars and conferences.
