Creative Training Techniques (CTT) constitute innovative approaches to training and development through the use of games, group activities, and certain novel principles of training and development. Investments made in such training results in benefits to the organization in many ways, including honing of employees’ skills, increased productivity, heightened morale, reduced supervision, reduced accidents, and increased organizational stability and flexibility. CTT enables trainers and trainees to achieve much more than just the objectives of training programs. They are also a means to contribute towards the overall development of individuals by freeing up their minds to think creatively, i.e., to search for creative ways to do their work. In the current business scenario, where a great premium is placed on innovation, CTT provides a means to enhance the innovative potential of individuals. Trainers and trainees derive more satisfaction from the training program if it is interspersed with different approaches and styles of training. Trainees are attracted to the novelty of the method, are motivated to contribute their best to the learning process and find the entire process of learning and development much more enjoyable. The use of various approaches to training takes into account the fact that different learners prefer different styles of learning. As a result, the use of CTT ensures that all trainees get more involved with the learning process. This book offers the reader certain new approaches to training and development, while also reassessing the value of existing methods. It is hoped that HR professionals, management consultants, and teachers are able to derive maximum value from this book.
