Cricket is my religion, is a journey of an unknown cricketer “Mathi” a poor boy, and a die-hard fan of Indian Cricketers, chose the life of cricket as his meaning for existence. Mathi, scoring many centuries, leads the club team for lifting the intra-district tournament. Threafter, he lands up in Bangalore amidst the hostile cosmopolitan crowd. Mathi, faces difficulties and resistance from other players. His innocence lands him in a match fixing and rape case. He was arrest and sent home disgracefully for no fault of his. He defies the pressure from his uneducated mother to go and seek the blessing of the Subramanium God by rolling over the leftover food of priests.
